Lube
Adequate lubrication is important to prevent condom breakage, but
use only water-based lubricants, such as glycerin or lubricating
jellies. Examples of water-based lubricants are K-Y Jelly, Wet,
AquaLube, I-D, and AstroGlide. (which can be purchased at any
pharmacy). Oil-based lubricants, (such as Vaseline, Crisco, baby
oil, massage oils, cold cream, or hand lotion can weaken the
condom and break down the latex structure very quickly causing the
condom to break within a matter of seconds.
