The goals of this forum are to raise awareness about the on-going crisis of HIV/AIDS among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM), promote greater understanding of the current issues that affect HIV/AIDS risk among MSM, and encourage providers of HIV prevention services to implement effective interventions and strategies to reduce HIV transmission among MSM.  Research and programs across the country will be highlighted. A panel of experts will answer viewer questions, which can be sent by f ax during the broadcast or by email during and after the broadcast. This broadcast is designed for organizations that plan and implement HIV prevention activities including health departments, community-based programs, the faith community, colleges and universities, and HIV prevention researchers as well as policy makers and news media.
 
Objectives of this Broadcast
After viewing this forum, participants should be able to
• Describe the disproportionate impact of HIV/AIDS on MSM and those MSM at greatest risk of HIV.
• Describe current issues that cause MSM to be at increased risk for HIV.
• Identify best-evidence, promising-evidence, and adapted interventions that reduce HIV among MSM.
• Summarize the importance of re-evaluating local strategies and mobilizing providers of HIV prevention services and the community against the spread of HIV/AIDS among MSM.
• Access CDC-supported information and technical assistance for conducting interventions and strategies to reduce HIV risk among MSM.
