The Letter newspaper had originally scheduled to host "Chili Cookoff 2" on Monday, March 20th but that event has to be rescheduled. The Letter advised us they would let us know when the new date was set. When the date is set we will post it on the site! Thank you.
Who makes the best Chili in Louisville? The Letter is hosting Chili Cook-Off 2 to answer that burning question and the proceeds benefit AIDS Services in Louisville!
$5.00 (more if you can!) will buy you chili, a delicious gourmet desert and soft drink. Proceeds will go to AIDS Services Center Coalition. Please help pass the word about this fundraiser and support the event!
The Letter's
first Chili Cook-Off was held February 21st. The Letter donated the proceeds
of $85.00 to AIDS Services Center Coalition (ASCC serves as the Board of Directors for Louisville AIDS Walk). Louis Philpott of
Kentucky Stonewall Democrats, Mike Shouse of
Kentuckiana Pride Festival and Tom Buamgarder of
The Connection competed in the
first cookoff . Contest judge Beth Ann Rubin decreed Baumgarder's chili was the best! Thanks to all three of our chili cooks and the judge for their hard work on this event. Pictured (left to right): Louis Philpott, Mike Shouse, Tom Baumgardner and Beth Ann Rubin.
